Whoops- a- daisy
Small but tough and fat and round
Small but tough and fat and round
She
hops on the electric heater’s plate
Out
of control she dances all about
Sometimes
clip- clops to and fro
and
up and down then forward straight
All
of a sudden without any notice
there
is no movement anymore
Then
again she rolls
on
her shiny little belly
over
the red heat hatch
of
the cooking- range
she
grumbles buzzes murmurs
and
she sizzles frizzles
swaying
until she is swept away
by
some crumb- brush so consequently
there
is nothing left to say

Het hoepeldiertje
Klein dapper en dik en rolrond
Huppelt ze over de
kachelplaat
Rond ze tript en danst
Soms heen en weer
En maakt dan
Plots geen beweging meer
Dan danst ze op haar
gladde buikje
Verder op het gloeiend
hete kachel luikje
Ze knort bromt moppert
en sist
Tot ze door een
kruimeldoek
Weg wordt gewist.
